If you have built a lot of 1/1000 scale starships you are bound to have some extra nacelles lying around. I took a Fine Molds TIE/Interceptor and replaced the panels with a warp drive.
Lighting this thing was the hardest part. I placed 6 LEDs on two circit boards, and ran fiber optic strands to the guns. The back lighting in the cockpit is a red LED. Then I needed a place for the batteries, so I went with the Darth Vader's TIE back look with lots of gribbles.
