Imperial Thunderbolt

[Proudly Sponsored by BLAP! Models]

by Francisco Ramirez

Scale: 1/72
In the universe of Warhammer 40,000, the thunderbolt main role is as an air/space superiority fighter for the Imperial Navy. I built this from plans from a paper model what I found in the Internet and it was very fun to build. I decided to build it in a 1/72 scale because this is my first scratch built model and it will take less time to finish. It is almost completely built from styrene sheet, evergreen strip styrene, some PVC tubing, metal tubing and a lot of bits from my spare box. The cockpit is from a 1/ 72 x-22 raptor from Italeri and the pilot and seat is from a Hasegawa Valkyrie.

It was painted with an airbrush using Tamiya, Humbrol and Alclad II paints. The imperial eagles and decals are from my spare box of Warhammer 40,000 bits.
