CLASSIC TREK FROM STARCRAFTS

Starcrafts have released three new 1/1400 scale kits covering the classic Franz Joseph TOS Trek designs: Ptolemy-class tug, Federation class dreadnaught and Saladin-class scout/destroyer. Each all-resin kit includes a base and ALPS-printed waterslide decals.

STUDIO SCALE TIE BOMBER

Available now is a Studio Scale TIE Bomber mastered by Dean Christian Johnson. The model is 1/48 scale and measures 7 1/8" long x 5 1/8" high x 9" wide (182mm x 130mm x 229mm). Made of 61 pressure-cast resin parts, the model is hollow for easy lighting and includes a CD-ROM of the build. It's limited to 40 copies. A lighting kit is available separately from VooDooFX. Shipping will include priority mail and delivery confirmation.

LATEST & GREATEST FROM FANTASTIC PLASTIC

Fantastic Plastic is proud to offer the first scale model of SpaceShip 2, theground-breaking spaceplane system. Patterned in 1:144 scale by Scott Lowther and cast by Masterpiece Models, the 29-piece kit contains both the SpaceShip 2 sub-orbital spacecraft and its gigantic jet-powered "White Knight" carrier. Landing gear are also included. When completed, the entire model has an impressive 11.5" wingspan. There are no decals.

The SpaceShip 2 & White Knight kit is available now for $75.00USD (~$79.30 CAN/¬ 50.06 EUR ).

Coming soon is a 1/72 model of the ''Silent Night'' Stealth Fighter concept from 1973. This 27-piece kit, patterned in CAD by Scott Lowther, cast by Mana Studios with decals by JBOT, includes a detailed cockpit with two pilot figures, a clear resin canopy, landing gear, weapons bay and a full complement of ordinance. The final price has yet to be determined, but is estimated to be around $75.00USD (~$79.30 CAN/¬ 50.06 EUR ).

NEVER GIVE UP!

Here is more information on the Galaxy Quest models Pegasus Hobbies will be releasing. Both models will be released in kit form and separately as pre-finished display pieces:

1/1400 scale ''NSEA Protector Ship''. The model, 12½/ 318mm'' long when completed, will come with removable ''Command Ship'', clear lenses cast in blue and logo base display stand. Though engineered to facilitate lighting, neither the kit nor the pre-finished model will come with lights or sound. The model was created using design data and images of the original studio model received from Paramount Pictures. The pre-finished model comes in full color window display box. Price and release date are TBA.

1/1 scale ''ION Nebulizer & VOX Communicator Set'': Full size prop replicas of the gun and communicators used in the movie. The nebulizer comes with clear lenses cast in blue with functioning trigger. The VOX comes with spring loaded flip-open mouth piece. Though engineered to facilitate lighting, neither the kit nor the pre-finished model will come with lights or sound. The models were created using design data and images of the original studio props received from Paramount Pictures. The pre-finished set comes in full color window display box. Price and release date are also TBA.

JUPITER 2 UPDATE

Moebius have just released the boxart (by Ron Gross) for their upcoming Jupiter 2 from the Lost in Space TV Series. This model will be 18 inches in diameter with detailed upper deck, landing gear, and loads of detail. It will also be engineered to make lighting easier. Moebius Models have just announced they will do another of the long awaited Aurora reissues: the Moon Bus from 2001: A Space Odyssey. MASSIVE SAND CRAWLER

Randy Cooper's latest project, the Jawa Sand Crawler, is now available for purchase. The 1/96 scale, 76 part, all-resin kit measures 25½'' long by 12.5½'' (648mm x 318mm) tall when built. VooDooFX have developed a separate lighting kit for this model, as well.
