Larry Niven invented the Kzinti, a species of cat-like warrior aliens who are one of the greater dangers to galactic peace in his stories. Everyone has a different idea of what they look like; here's my take. The Kzinti model was built of sculpy using a G.I. Joe figure as an armature.The outer covering then had "fur" engraved with a X-acto knife.this was then cured in the oven.The armor and equipment was then built onto the naked Kzin using epoxy putty and the spare parts box.The disks of the armor are plastic jewels. The fallen Earth warrior is built of sculpy over a Silver Surfer figure.His helmet is a fishing bobber, with a face plate cut from a toy machine plastic capsule. The two figures were then mounted on a base and painted.The scene represents a Kzinti centurion roaring to the heavens in triumph and victory.
