U.S.S. Misha NCC-42199 (original scratchbuild 13) |
Background Siberian Class Escort: Much like the Defiant and Sabre class “escorts”, the Siberian class is asmall, fast, maneuverable military vessel. Designed to carry a small crew of twenty officers and enlisted personnel, most of the internal volume of this vessel is devoted to engineering and weaponry. The saucer and engineering sections both contain independent impulse engines, allowing remarkable speed and maneuverability in tight combat situations. In addition, each section has an independent power station, which drive the impulse engines and weaponry. If one is compromised, the other is capable of providing power to both sections. The U.S.S. Misha relies primarily on quantum torpedoes and phaser pulse cannons for its offensive arsenal. The unique configuration of the nacelles allows them to be connected directly to the warp core for maximum efficiency. This design however does not allow the core to be jettisoned in an emergency. |

Rather, the entire engineering section is propelled from the saucer like a cannonball through the coordinated impulse inversion of the two independent impulse engines. This maneuver, like two magnets repulsing each other, provides the maximum distance possible between the two sections before a breach might occur. The Siberian Class was specifically designed to act as an escort for the Dreadnought Golem Class Warship. Together, the two vessels are an imposing team, with the Golem's sheer firepower and the Siberian's speed and maneuverability. The team has proven undefeatable in numerous skirmishes with Dominion forces. Model Details This model was built primarily from a 1/2500 scale Enterprise B saucer, a 1/1400 Peregrine class Maquis ship, and the nacelles from a 1/2500 scale Enterprise E.
