Espadon Light Fighter |
By Josselin Guédes |
As Josselin tells it: " I created the Espadon ("Swordfish") out of the remains of an old Testors/Italeri 1/48 scale Stingbat Helicopter - yes, I'm sure you can see its shape under the whole thing - a few kit bits that came out of my spares box - don't ask me where they came from, apart from a 1/72 scale Apache helicopter - and of course a lot of Evergreen plasticard. The panel lining was completely re- engraved. The most interesting stage on this model was the painting. Three different layers were airbrushed : white, blue and light grey. I then had to get my best X-acto and a lot of patience to scrape the paint in a judicious way. I also used 400 wet & dry sandpaper - used dry - in some places. The remaining weathering was done with pastels. This ship is part of a diorama - which you can see at his home page. |
