Years ago when I saw Return of the Jedi, I saw that the TIE/Interceptors made Darth Vader's fighter obsolete. Then I realized he would never stand for that. He would have a custom model built for himself. So I made it. Starting with a snap-fit Interceptor I used sheet plastic and bits of a Saturn V to create an updated design with the flavor of the old one.

In the photo Vader inspects the finished craft. I suppose he died before he could fly it. The figure is a pewter toy that was available at the time. The base is a piece of paper with pencil marks.
