This is the Arktorion Troop Transport. It was originally a light cruiser that was mothballed and then returned to service to ferry troops to needed sectors. It was first seen in action against Earth Forces when the Arktorions invaded Mars in 2358. The vessel had been in service for over sixty-three years. It is capable of light speed and was one of kind.

This model was originally started in '94 and was finally completed in '96. It had many different configurations before this shape was adopted. It is mainly made from household materials and a few model parts (budget). The forward hull section is made of plastic oil paint containers. On the ends of the oil paint containers are "Ti-Tac" boxes, modified with details. The long section of the hull is made from three cool birth control pill boxes (anything goes with me!). The large section that hangs down is an old watch container. The fusion drive engine in the rear is made from a shampoo bottle cap with details made from coffee cup and beverage lids from fast food restaurants. I added some extra etched brass details from my scrap box, some old battleship parts, and HO scale train parts. It was my first serious scratchbuilt project. I weathered it with an airbrush and oil paints. I learned a lot from this one and I figured out that scratchbuilding is not that hard. In fact it's great fun and satisfying.
