This 1/24 scale COLONIAL VIPER model was entirely scratchbuilt. I used both plastic sheets and fiberglass. The painting was done so as to make the ship look rather weathered and worn away such as the studio model. I also added some damage effects, such as dents and bullet marks, for greater realism. This model was awarded first place and "best of show" in the 1996 IPMS/USA National Convention, Virginia Beach.
