The 12 Colonies return to a regenerating Earth many years after WWIII. But, chaos and anarchy are the result. The nukes are gone, but the humans are back.

The Colonies settle in Australia initially due to the fact that it wasn't nuked as badly as the rest of the world, and thus appears to have recovered better than other areas. It has no severe residual fallout areas remaining (although plenty of small areas), plenty of territory for development by colonists, and because of climate changes caused by the mass nuclear strikes, the desert is no longer too arid or hot.

Later, colonists will also land around the globe, but will settle mainly in Canada, Africa and Australia, with the latter being the most popular.

Then the Cylons return and a new war for Earth begins!

The above was greatly modified from the SF3D board game timeline. SF3D was a Sci-Fi plastic model series which ran during the mid 1980s. The series was created by artist Kow Yokoyama The series ended after a few years. In 1998, the series was reintroduced by Nitto and Kow under the new name Maschinen Krieger Zbv 3000, aka Ma.K. Soon, Hasegawa will be producing a new line! Kow Yokoyama scratchbuilt all of his models from parts of many kits, so I did the same with some of the same materials he used.

The build was lots of cutting, putty and wire rods to keep things in place. I wanted it to look beaten up, so base coat of black and "poor" spraying of white plus an oil wash did the trick. It's 34cm long, so 1/32 to 1/20 scale (I have no idea, except I don't know where to keep it)

The build consists of parts from the following items:

  • Revell: Jedi Starfightet
  • MPC: Star Wars Luke Skywalker X-Wing Fighter
  • 3 Yakult yogurt drink bottles
  • Dollar Store: Window Cleaner Bottle
  • Monogram: SeaQuest DSV Stinger
  • Monogram: 1/144 Apollo Saturn V Rocket
  • Tamiya: 1/35 Flakpanzer Gepard
  • Tamiya: 1/35 Russian T-62A Tank
  • Tamiya: 1/20 Newman Haas K Mart Texaco LOLA T93/00 Ford
  • some leftover decals from kits I can't recall.
