They were acquired from a Raptor that conducted a fly by during the time when the Galactica jumped away to rendezvous with the Cylon Baseship in preparations to attack the Cylon Hub, the key to Cylon immortality!
While the Admiral nor the President has made no official statement, this reporter has learned from a confidential source that the hub was destroyed. However the Colonial fleet suffered staggering losses in a very gruesome battle.
Our prayers go out to all those who have lost their lives in our continuing struggle for survival as we search for Earth.
The kit is the black Sun 1/72 Mk.7 Human Fighter built OOB. To give it a beat up, war weary appearance, I base coated it in Model Master steel metalizer, then brushed on a random and uneven coat of medium grey. I utilized a freeze frame from the BSG episode The Hub for this build. I wanted to represent the lone Mk VII that the Galactica flies by when they come across the remnants of the battle that destroyed the Cylon Hub. The blood is a mix of Tamiya hull red, red and future applied to the nose and cockpit.
