This War Wagon should help Homer get to work on time; the long delays on the US highways should now be a thing of the past with this up grade.
What are friends for? Other than to give you all the bits and pieces for your model building junk/parts box. This is the formula when a mate gives you an old kit and says “So what can you make out of that”? I was faced with a Polar Lights model kit of The Homer that was missing bits and pieces from sitting around for years.
Not being an armour builder, I found looking through the parts box at an array of guns and missiles that had been given and then seeing how many of these items I could fit to the Wagon without it looking too over the top.
The 1/35 20mm Tamiya Flak Gun was just the right size to fit behind the cock pit and was a real delight to build and a welcome addition to the theme I was looking for. The main gun was scratched build from the plastic box and used some of the Flak guns left over parts, to give it some shielding. I then added some more parts around the body and proceeded to Paint it in Tamiya’s Olive Drab, Nato Brown and Desert Yellow.
In all it was a bit of fun and the Guys at the club won’t be so shocked when I bring it along, after some of the things I have made.
