“Something besides Star Destroyer white"

With those now infamous words, the legend of the Errant Venture was born. Booster Terrik had already secured the Star Destroyer Virulence as his own personal mobile market, but it wasn't until the New Republic had need of it that the ship became the legend it would be remembered for. Part of his conditions for allowing the New Republic to use his ship was the promise of a paint job when it was all over. Something other than the standard Star Destroyer white. It was not an easy task, but enough red paint was eventually secured.

The bright red image of the Errant Venture quickly became well known throughout the galaxy. Acting as a mobile black market, enforcement tool, safe haven for family, friends and Jedi and even eventually once more a warship in the days of the New Jedi Order, this ship has survived more than most fully crewed and supplied Star destroyers. Ironic considering Booster could almost never afford to keep the ship in full working order. His skeleton crews were constantly cannibalizing one system to repair another and most of the time only half the guns worked, but it was Boosters ship, and it was red, and everyone knew he was the one coming for them.

The Errant Venture was built as a mostly OOB Star Destroyer kit. A few slight modifications were made, most notably the addition of some guns cannibalized from a 1/700 New Jersey battleship kit and a bit of putty to fill in the most obvious gaps. She was then given a coating of bright red, but it still didn't look quite right to me. At almost every time I've read about the Venture, the ship is half falling apart, so I went ahead and weathered her up a bit. Even dirty, she is still one pimped up ride.

Given that the Venture functioned primarily as a mobile black market, I thought it appropriate to have a couple of ships flying alongside. One is a Triliance "Space Tick" and the other was scratched from some more bits from the New Jersey kit.
