I used the 22" Cutaway Enterprise to build the USS Constellation NCC-1017 from the Doomsday Machine episode of TOS. When I saw the re mastered version I decided to do the project; I was inspired by the more extensive damage done to the Connie in this episode. I used the replacement parts from DLM and decals from JTGraphics.

The construction was pretty straightforward a lot of filling and sanding naturally. The damage was done with my Dremel tool and a lot of bits and pieces to add the interior detail. I chose to do her as if she were dead in space before Kirk and Scotty brought her back to life.
